Midland Money

Midland Money is a Town of Basalt sponsored voucher program to support Midland Avenue’s summer economy. Each voucher has a $20 value and can be used to purchase goods, services, and food at participating Midland Avenue businesses.  A total of 2,500 vouchers will be distributed at the summer concerts, summer events, and Sunday Markets, and can be picked up at Town Hall between July and September 2023.   They may be used at participating businesses between July 1 and September 30, 2023.

Why did the Town create Midland Money?

Midland Money is a business support program to bolster Midland Avenue’s economy during construction of the Midland Streetscape project.  The vouchers are designed to encourage residents and visitors to shop, dine, and purchase services in downtown Basalt.  Vouchers are valid between July 1 and September 30, 2023. Midland Money is a piece of a larger outreach program to enhance business during construction.  Other business support and economic development activities include special events and expanded marketing and communications geared toward bringing visitors to Basalt. 

What can Midland Money be used for?

Midland Money can be used at participating businesses to purchase goods, services, and food.  There is a limit of one per transaction.  Midland Money CANNOT be used for gift cards, lottery tickets, tobacco products, gas, lodging, marijuana, or liquor.  A voucher is not redeemable for cash.

How do businesses participate?

All businesses located on Midland Avenue, Two Rivers Road, or adjacent to Midland Avenue that have a current Town of Basalt business license are eligible to participate.   Sign up here to participate.
